If your cats are anything like ours (and I'll bet they are),
they just
can't keep their claws off the upholstered furniture, drapes, or anything
that provides a place to climb. Let's face it, cats love to climb,
scratch, jump and perch up high. Nothing addresses these feline quirks
like providing a BIG cat perch.
We searched high and low for the ideal playground, but
couldn't find what we were looking for. What was available commercially
can get quite pricey, yet still wasn't exactly what we had in mind. So,
we made notes and embellished on what we saw. In designing our perch, we wanted to
encourage our cats to play HERE and give the furniture a break.
With that in mind, we opted for a hollow tree-like stand
that permitted our cats to climb to three levels - inside or outside of
the perch. The two horizontal trays afford a great place to curl up and
snooze, while the top perch provides a grand view of the entire room.
